WHAT IS THE MILITARY DIET ?

The military diet, also called the 3 days diet, is a wight loss diet that can help you loose upto 10 pounds in a week.
The military diet plan involves a 3-day meal plan followed by 4 days off, and the weekly cycle is repeated again and again until you reach your goal weight.

HOW DOES THIS DIET WORKS ?
                                   The 3-day diet is actually split into over 7-day period.
For the first 3-days, you must follow the low-calorie meal plan for breakfast,lunch and dinner. There are no snacks between meals.
                          Total calorie intake during this phase is roughly 1,100-1,400 calories  per day.

Drink as much of water as you can! try to avoid soft drinks and artificial sweeteners.


DAY 1
1/2 Grapefruit.
1 Slice of Toast.
2 Tablespoons of Peanut butter.
1 Cup coffee or Tea ( with caffeine).

1/2 Cup of tuna.
1 slice of toast.
1 cup coffee or tea(with caffeine).

3 ounces of any meat ( same size as deck of cards )
1 cup green beans.
2 small apple.
1/2 banana.
1cup vanilla ice-cream.


DAY 2
1 egg( cooked or however you like)
1 slice bread or toast)
1/2 banana
1 hardboiled egg.
1 cup cottage cheese.
5 saltine crackers.

2 hot dogs (no bun)
1/2 cup carrots.
1 cup broccoli.
1/2 banana 
1/2 cup vanilla ice-cream

DAY 3 
1 small apple
1 slice of cheddar cheese.
5 saltine crackers.

1 slice bread or toast.
1 egg ( cooked however you like)

1/2 banana
1 cup tuna
1 cup vanilla ice-cream

      there is no substitute for grapefruit but for tuna you can replace it with chicken breast ( boiled ).

    2. the same size as 1/2 or 1 cup serving. Other substitutes for tuna include cottage cheese, chicken, tofu, almonds or peanuts

  2. Hi! I was able to finish my first round of the 3 Day Military Diet with success! With a vacation in the offing, I really have to lose the extra pounds. What made the diet very reasonable and doable for me is the simple selection of food. Everything is low cost and there’s no tedious cooking either. Since I’m busy at work, I wanted a food selection that fits my budget and can be brown bagged to work. Thanks for the neat variety of fresh greens and fruits, plus the lean meat, I was able to bring the food selection to the workplace. All the food was low carb and I was still able to drink my coffee and tea, which I love. The diet was very doable and the set meals were spot on! I was able to lose around 6 pounds after the 3 days. This week, I plan to start another round of the diet to shed more weight. Wish me luck.
